Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating across 47 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Europe, and Mexico. Summary:

Prospecting new government contracts, reviewing contractual language, preparing bid package, organizing RFP and RFQ and ultimately preparing economics and commitments to management for approval.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Prospect for a continuous pipeline of government leads on the local, state and national levels.
  • Work directly with government to entities to ensure that we are eligible and will receive the bid package when the entity sends to market.
  • Once RFP / RFQ is received the specialist must read and understand the language, commitment, and pricing structure / scope that Sunoco LP will be entering into.
  • Work directly with Supply, dispatch, Sunoco trading and management to formulate the bid offer. Then ensure that the bid package, offer, commitments are in the proper format requested by the entity.
  • After continuous follow up and Sunoco is awarded the business the special then must communicate to all support groups their responsibilities and be the primary point of contact of the government entity
  • Confer with customers or supervising personnel to address questions, problems, or requests for pickup and delivery.
  • Prepare daily work and run schedules.
  • Record and maintain files or records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, or other dispatch information.
  • eceive or prepare work orders.


Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:



  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience industry or similar industry
  • Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office. Working knowledge of instant messaging (ICE)



Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

Office environment: moderate and adjustable temperature and light; well ventilated; adequate space; ergonomic office furniture and up-to-date equipment

Normal working hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. May need to work occasional overtime or weekend hours as business dictates.

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:



  • The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experience

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
