The Encounters Specialist works as a member of the Encounters Resolution team to resolve outstanding rejected or pending encounters, reducing the outstanding balance and resolving outstanding encounters issues. Works with relevant business areas to resolve encounter issues and implement fixes to prevent them going forward

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year in encounters, claims processing or provider information management.
• Experience in a managed care environment preferred.

• Conduct analysis on encounter errors, exceptions and rejections. Determine root cause of errors and recommend system or operational solutions.
• Works with internal/external partners to resolve encounter rejections when needed.
• Document change requests, submit change request tickets and monitor their progress. Works with the Senior
• Encounters Specialist and their supervisor to report any trending errors.
