Description The Bitan Lab is seeking a Staff Research Associate II to support translational projects in neurodegenerative diseases, and will have the opportunity to contribute to ongoing research projects in the lab and author publications. The position will support studies involving isolation of CNS-originating extracellular vesicles from plasma or serum of patients with neurodegenerative diseases and healthy controls, measurement of biomarkers, and data management. You will contribute to projects aimed at discovering novel biomarkers and testing candidate biomarkers in human blood samples. Additionally, you will contribute to building and maintaining lab systems, ordering and installing new lab equipment, and managing lab reagent ordering. Please note that this is a part-time, five month limited position that may convert to career. Salary Range: $28.88 - $46.46/Hourly Qualifications Required: Skilled in working with laboratory equipment. Ability to communicate clearly and work in a team environment. Previous experience working in a laboratory setting. Must be responsible and able to work independently, without close supervision. Willingness to work occasional weekends. Management of large-scale datasets. Preferred: Knowledge to work with ELISA and ECLIA. Knowledge to work with human plasma and serum samples. BS in Biology or closely related field.
