The final salary will depend on the candidate's qualifications. Those with 8 years or more of required experience can expect offers up to the midpoint of the salary range. Metra is one of the largest and most complex commuter rail systems in North America, serving Cook, DuPage, Will, Lake, Kane, and McHenry Counties. The agency is linking communities in Northeastern Illinois by providing safe, reliable, and efficient commuter service. The Supply Chain Operations Division consists of Materials Contract Administration and Storehouse Operations. The purpose of the department is to serve various customers within Metra. Managing the continuous supply of parts materials and services required to support Engineering, Mechanical and Transit Operations. Additionally, the department operates Metra's four storehouses and is responsible for managing Metra's fuel and P-Card programs. Reporting to the Manager, Mechanical Data Systems, the Asset Systems Analyst will support the agency's PTC and enterprise asset management (EAM) systems, IBM Maximo and ServiceMax; assist in the development, modification, and deployment of the system software and hardware; and serve as a liaison between the IT department and end-users. The primary duties include: Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned system; and assist in the development of standardized processes and procedures related to system functionality and operations from the users' perspective. Actively participate in the roll out of new software modules, features, fixes, and upgrades; collaborate with EAM users to define business needs; and develop, test, and evaluate system solutions. Run applicable databases and queries and generate reports; produce and safeguard an audit trail of change requests, approvals, test results, installation dates, serial numbers, and other systems related information for audit purposes; and investigate and recommend process and system enhancements and methods to increase efficiencies. Coordinate and conduct user training; develop and update training materials and job aids for users; and update materials used as guides for business processes. Monitor or assist in EAM related implementations, configuration, testing, and interfaces between existing systems and applications; and document processes and details of the functional designs that provide portions of the information needed for EAM purposes. Perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
