BC is seeking an experienced Program Manager to establish and grow programmatic project delivery services for existing and new Private Sector clients within BC. BC's Private Sector Business Unit (PSBU) has been recording exceptional growth including clients with portfolios of projects across the continental US in numerous market sectors including manufacturing, mining, technology and retail. This is a unique opportunity to join an existing team of company leaders to build and deliver an industry-leading program.

Detailed Description:

Brown and Caldwell's Private Sector Business Unit has a truly unique opportunity to organize and lead large scale and complex programs across multiple market sectors focusing on exceptional delivery to our clients. In the role of Program Manager, you will be responsible for the organization and day-to-day oversight and direction of various programs within PSBU including coordination with enterprise divisions (Design and Integrated Project Delivery).

Working closely with the Operations Director, Market Area Directors and Client Services Teams you will partner with, oversee and direct a team of industry-leading practitioners to develop processes, pricing, and key deliverables for key client programs.



  • Establish programmatic management and delivery processes to standardize delivery to Private Sector clients.
  • Develops high-value client relationships, while representing BC.
  • Direct and lead program delivery teams to exceed client expectations.
  • Collaborates with discipline leaders and project managers to align delivery teams to a common delivery goal.
  • Partners with PSBU leadership and Client Service Managers to grow delivery as programs for key clients.
  • Supports development of staff members, especially as it relates to exceptional client service delivery, strategic planning, pursuit positioning and effective communication.
  • Utilize internal systems for communication, tracking and collaboration on projects and opportunities.
  • Leverages resources, experience and skills of the firm to support client goals.
  • Collaborates with regional and national colleagues to ensure resources are deployed for the greatest project success and client satisfaction.
  • Participates in professional societies, creating connections for BC and technical professionals in support of client goals.


Desired Skills and Experience:



  • B.S. degree, emphasis in an engineering or construction management field preferred.
  • Professional Engineering license is preferred.
  • A minimum of 20 years' experience in water/ww engineering and construction or equivalent including progressive project and program delivery.
  • Client service engagement and business development experience is preferred.
  • Energetic, compelling communicator with exceptional diplomatic and persuasive skills, capable of listening and interacting effectively with staff and clients at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, lead pursuit teams, and provide strong business growth results in management roles.
  • Proven ability to lead large programs of numerous complex projects involving multi-discipline teams of design engineers and construction contractors.
  • Demonstrated competence in all aspects of Program Management, including cost and schedule control, risk management, stakeholder management, records management, capital planning, procurement, construction management, startup and commissioning, etc., for both Client and internal programs.
  • Experience with multiple forms of project delivery, including DB, PDB, CMAR, DBB, etc.
  • Ability to articulate ideas and concepts both visually and contextually.
  • Candidate should be a self-starter, results-oriented, and can work and excel under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to focus on client needs while balancing multiple internal team priorities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel for client and business development meetings.


Pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Location A: $168,000 - $250,000

Location B:$184,000 - $275,000
