As a Database Administrator - Cloud Platforms, you will:



  • Work with and through others, building and maintaining relationships.

As a Database Administrator - Cloud Platforms, you will have an opportunity ...




  • Oversee production, QA/Test, and development database environments
  • Create detailed documentation and diagrams of the cloud database infrastructure
  • Coordinate and communicate with all stakeholders (internal teams and clients)
  • Set up and maintain database infrastructure to support business intelligence needs
  • Manage multiple databases and assist in capacity planning
  • Monitor and maintain database systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity and security
  • Utilize scripting languages for automation and scripting to streamline database operations
  • Develop strategies for managing backups, restoration, and replication
  • Support software developers with database operations, including complex SQL queries and stored procedures
  • Perform data administration duties, including system performance tuning and troubleshooting
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes and scripts for data exchanges with external systems
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and preparation
  • Manage database security strategy and data governance


Minimum Requirements:This position requires the following educational and/or job experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator, specifically with cloud-based databases
  • Required Expertise: Azure SQL, CosmosDB (native API and Mongo API), Aurora PostgreSQL
  • Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Proficient in database security, backup and recovery, and data migration strategies
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, security, and networking concepts



Desired Skills: Ideal candidates for this position should possess some or all of the following skills:



  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
  • AWS Certified Database - Specialty
  • MongoDB Certified DBA Associate
  • Snowflake SnowPro Certification
  • Experience with Snowflake, Redis, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2), and Microsoft Fabric
  • Proficiency in PowerShell and Python for automation and scripting
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies
  • Passionate and motivated self-starter
  • A passion for leveraging cloud technologies to drive business success
  • Strong work ethic and ability to complete work accurately
  • Ability to think logically in order to analyze situations and make sound decisions
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate issues.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Capacity to work with multiple computer and software systems
