Job Summary:



The Interventional Ultrasound Tech will perform advanced vascular imaging studies utilizing state of the art ultrasound technology and physiologic imaging equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of vascular disease. This position is responsible for daily operations of the vascular laboratory, patient schedule, equipment maintenance and quality assessment at our Interventional Radiology location.

Key Responsibilities:



  • At the direction of a qualified physician or advancedpractice provider, performs a variety of procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative in the utilization of ultrasonic equipment for the diagnosis of disease in humans.
  • Performs high quality vascular ultrasound examinations including, but not limited to upper and lower extremity arterial duplex, upper and lowerextremityvenous duplex, aorto-iliacduplex, renalduplex, mesentericduplex, dialysis access evaluation and pre-operative/post-operative vein mapping.
  • Performs high quality physiologic studies including, but not limited to ankle brachial index (ABI), pulse volume recording (PVR), andphotoplethysmogram (PPG).
  • Reviews patientmedicalhistory and physicianor advance practice provider's orders to perform prescribed study.
  • Works with the Medical Director to formulate or revise imaging protocols, policies, and procedures utilized in the production of images.

Onsite- this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Highlands Ranch.

Qualifications:



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
  • Two (2) years of experience working as an Ultrasound Technician.

    • Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.




Preferred Qualifications:



  • 3+ years of vascular experience.
  • Experience working in vascular surgery or a related practice.
  • Experience setting up sterile and non-sterile procedure trays and medical procedure rooms.
  • Experience and knowledge with medical chart preparation and set-up.
  • Experience with EPIC.
  • Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RPhS).
  • Bilingual, Spanish preferred.


Conditions of Employment:



  • Registered as a Vascular Technologist (RVT) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross healthcare provider level CPR certification.
  • Must be willing to work in person.
  • Must be willing to travel to other locations as assigned.

  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels, including physicians, leadership, and staff within the various affiliate organizations (UCH, Children's Colorado, CU Medicine, CU SOM).
  • Ability to work within large, complex healthcare systems.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data.
  • Ability to compile complex reports and develop presentations.
  • Ability to compose letters and memorandums.
  • Ability to deal calmly and courteously with people.
  • Ability to deal with stressful situations.
  • Ability to finish tasks in a timely manner.

Anticipated Pay Range:



The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as

$82,992.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
