Job Title: Installer- Custom Displays and Fixtures

Company: RCS Systems, Inc, an MRA member

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Hours: Full Time

Pay: $20-28 per hour DOE

As an Installer, you will be responsible for installing custom display fixtures made from a variety of materials, including metal, wood, and solid surfaces, at locations across the United States. Your work will aim to exceed client expectations, and you will engage in a range of tasks on a typical day.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:


  • Assess the work area for suitability prior to demolition or installation.
  • Identify any visible defects that may hinder installation quality.
  • Perform on-site operations, including unloading, unpacking, assembly, erection, anchoring, finishing, and cleaning, tailored to each specific project.
  • Read and interpret plans, blueprints, and drawings to ensure accurate installation within specified tolerances.
  • Learn and apply effective fixture installation techniques.
  • Enhance your technical skills through formal and informal training and coaching.
  • Communicate effectively with fellow installers, construction personnel, and customer representatives.
  • Manage and implement safe working practices independently.
  • Systematically resolve technical issues by identifying problems and risks, and selecting appropriate solutions.
  • Follow the Lead Installer's direction when applicable.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor on the job site.
  • When not engaged in installations, you will work on-site at RCS to maintain a 40-hour work week.



Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Familiarity with power and hand tools.
  • Ability to accurately measure dimensions and angles.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions.
  • Basic arithmetic and reading skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
  • Commitment to exemplary quality in all aspects of your work.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the U.S. for 70% or more of the time, typically on trips lasting 3 to 14 days, with a variable work schedule.
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, lift (up to 50 lbs.), and use power tools for extended periods.
  • Normal hearing and vision range.
  • Proficiency with standard office equipment (computer, copier, scanner, telephone) and familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Education and/or Experience:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
  • Class B CDL w/ air brakes a plus.
