We are hiring a Kafka Engineer to join our team on a remote basis.
Responsibilities: * Design, develop, and maintain Kafka-based data streaming solutions. * Implement and manage Kafka clusters, ensuring high availability and performance. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Kafka with various data sources and applications. * Monitor and troubleshoot Kafka infrastructure, identifying and resolving issues promptly. * Optimize Kafka performance and scalability to handle large volumes of data. * Develop and maintain documentation for Kafka configurations, processes, and procedures. * Stay up-to-date with the latest Kafka developments and best practices. * Develop and maintain applications using Java, ensuring seamless integration with Kafka. * Design and implement REST APIs to facilitate data exchange between systems. * Work with GraphQL to create flexible and efficient data querying solutions. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. * Strong knowledge of Kafka architecture, components, and ecosystem. * Proficiency in programming languages such as Java. * Experience with Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, and Kafka security. * Familiarity with distributed systems and data streaming concepts. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Strong communication and collaboration abilities. * Experience with REST APIs and GraphQL. * Experience with cloud platforms like AWS. * Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. * Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
