Post-Doctoral Fellow- Department of Cancer Biology- Lab of Dr. Schug

Thomas Jefferson University & Jefferson Health
United States, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia
1100 Walnut Street (Show on map)
Nov 09, 2024

A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Zachary T. Schug in the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at the Thomas Jefferson University, an NCI-designated Cancer Center in Philadelphia, PA. Since metabolic pathways are intimately connected to immunity and cancer, understanding these connections will allow us to gain new insights into the dynamic interplay between cancer cells and immune cells in the tumor microenvironment. Our lab studies the intersection of cancer cell metabolism and immunometabolism with a particular focus on targeting tumor metabolism to promote anti-tumor immunity. We apply multidisciplinary approaches by integrating transgenic mouse models of cancer with cutting edge -omic technologies, including stable isotope tracing, metabolomics, lipidomics, digital spatial profiling, and single-cell transcriptomics. Applicants with prior experience in tumor xenograft studies or immunology are highly desired. Alternatively, applicants with experience in running and handling an LC-MS system would also be at an advantage.
