MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Management, Computer Information Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE:

1. Two (2) years information system management experience.

PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE:

1. Two (2) years computer system experience in healthcare/Surgical Services background.

2. One (1) year presentation experience.

3. One (1) year documentation experience.

4. Two (2) years interface development.

5. One (1) year project planning and completion

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. 1. Responsible for creating and distributing of a variety of monthly reports to support operational decision making to achieve maximum usage of resources. This includes but is not limited to Statistics, Suite Utilization, Individual block utilization, procedure volume, charge by primary procedure. Responsible for development and generation of reports to assist in determining procedure cost and identification of areas to reduce cost. Responsible for development of additional reports as requested by department director, executive leadership, other hospital departments, and physicians.

2. Participate and/or provide leadership in department projects relevant to systems applications by identifying areas of responsibility, outlining the project, and development of timelines to ensure project completion.

3. Provide on-going support of intra-operative documentation, Charge Review/Charge Viewer tool, which includes end-user support on an on-going basis, trouble-shooting identified system issues and working through attaining a resolution, providing end-user training related to changes in documentation, reviewing documentation to identify areas where additional education/support is needed.

4. Building and application of surgical blocks in the surgical schedule, coordination of building new surgical procedures in the system, and participating in testing for software upgrades. Provide assistance in problem solving identified issues.

5. Serve as interdepartmental liaison to promote system integration by working collaboratively with Quality, Information Technology, Clinical Informatics.

6. Responsible for maintaining the Workstation on Wheels inventory for the Surgical Suite includes requests for maintenance and ensuring that devices are in the department and functioning appropriately.

7. Responsible for maintaining the device inventory for the Surgical Suite, includes maintaining the device assignments and repair/replacement requests to ensure all devices are accounted for in the Surgical Suite.
