A Day in the Life
The Brand Education director for Redken DMI is in charge of the global education strategy of the brand in alignment with the SVP - Redken Brand Lead.
Responsible for development and optimizing education worldwide for Redken DMI as well as working with countries to ensure successful execution of brand education assets.
The person is responsible to be an integral part of the team accountable for the creation and implementation of the Redken Education plan and message both online and offline for all retail activations.
This position serves to build strong and loyal relationships with the professional community,
to embody the spirit of the brand and communicate this in all touch points and to inspire the brand education teams and stylists worldwide.
Requirements
* 10+ years education and brand educational strategy experience preferably with hair industry
* Candidates must be a Licensed Cosmetologist
* Deep understanding of professional, hair salon industry, hair stylists, etc
* Exceptional knowledge of professional beauty industry along with products and content that performs best is important. This includes understanding of metrics and performance measures for all distribution channels.
* Strong public speaking, presentation, and motivation capabilities
* Strong communication skills, both verbally and written, as well as online and offline
* Bachelor's degree in business related field preferred
* Proven experience in creating a consistent and comprehensive brand presence across multiple channels preferred.
* High digital acumen specifically in social media platforms preferred.
* Ability to use analytics to drive brand strategy and goal setting
* In-depth knowledge of, or ability to grasp, Brand and DMI priorities by zone
* Understanding of how to deploy country or zone education strategy through concrete past experiences
* Ability to successfully manage a budget and be individually held accountable
* Knowledge and ability to manage global education calendar, and brand education standards
* Ability to make quick decisions, problem solve and multi-task
* Ability to articulate clear business direction and strategies; to drive goals and objectives.
* Exceptional attention to detail required
* The ability to function as part of a team to liaise between different departments, participate in senior level management discussions and facilitate the creative process at all levels.
* Open and adaptable to change
* Well-defined organizational skills
* Computer literacy on Windows, MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
* Ability to travel domestically or internationally periodically (max. 25%).
Responsibilities
Key Job Accountabilities:
* Define overall education strategy of brand
* Develop programs and protocol for DMI and local content and events
* Development of all education and technical materials that support launch/animations for both online and offline education opportunities.
* Define strategy of artist network
* Work with business development to execute growth, win new partnerships and loyalty opportunities in country
* Work with business development to define and drive needs
* Attend global events and meetings as the face of the brand
* Core KPIs include global session productivity, country/zone feedback, and on-budget accountability.
Specific Responsibilities:
Development of new services, techniques and salon offerings following the launch plan and the strategic direction of the brand
Development of e-learning digital first content
Lead the development of educational materials and ensure consistent and appropriate corporate image is maintained in all such materials/projects.
Responsible for gaining constant insights through community and competitive knowledge and share with the team to upskill the members of the pod
Support the marketing team and participate in all formula testing for my pod, internal and external and give my opinion and feedback on them.
Support the digital specialist of the pod in identifying, reaching out of influencers and help in managing the relationship.
Support during shoots (product, looks, relation with artists) and gather the techniques used to create a look, participate on tutorial filming and editing.
Support day-to-day activities of Education Department and worldwide trainings.
Assist in leading the management and attendance of department and marketing meetings.
Share with the world and my education tribe all best practices in education for my pod and or other competitive brands.
Work closely with creative, marketing, production teams and artists to plan, develop and execute educational videos, technique guides, product information as well as other ongoing projects.
Maintain timelines and deadlines for all education materials.
Maintain and manage brand portfolio in alignments with countries and DMI teams.
Keep materials up to date with the most current content.
What We Offer
Salary Range: $171,000- $248,000 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level Competitive Benefit Package (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Pension Plan)
