SPA) team in the Office of Research.

Position Function |
Create, enhance, implement and maintain the campus-wide outreach and communication strategy of the Office of Research, Sponsored Projects Administration (
SPA) and Office of Research Integrity (
ORI). The
OSEC will create content celebrating research and sponsored projects for websites, blog, newsletters, and communications center; create marketing toolkits for programs and office services; coordinate events, training and educational programs; provide updates and maintenance to website; and supervise a graduate assistant. |
Minimum Education |
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. |
Minimum Experience |
One year of related experience. |
Minimum Other |
Proficiency with digital communication tools, design, event planning, or data management software; strong organizational, communication and customer relations skills; and software/systems experience including Microsoft Office and desktop publishing platforms (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.); ability to simultaneously handle a variety of projects, development timelines, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines; detail oriented, accurate and dependable. |

Preferred Education |
Bachelor's or master's degree in journalism, public relations, media design, communication, marketing or related field. |
Preferred Experience |
Three or more years of related experience; higher education experience; Supervisory experience; demonstrated experience and proficiency in planning and coordinating large events; project management experience; user experience design concepts; experience in maintaining and developing digital platforms. |
Preferred Other |
Software/Systems: SiteCore or similar content management system (
CMS); digital marketing platforms; Aptitude to learn new skills quickly; motivation to acquire knowledge in area of specialty; ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively to meet shared objectives. |

Develop and implement a marketing and communication strategy for the Office of Research,
SPA (Sponsored Programs Administration), and
ORI (Office of Research Integrity), managing the day-to-day activities to support the office goals and strategic plan while adhering to the university brand and style guidelines across all platforms and content. Serve as office designated liaison to University Marketing and Communications. Regularly consult with Office of Research staff, faculty, colleagues, departments, and other stakeholders to curate content for specific programs, audiences, events, and objectives. Serve as office representative on Alumni Editorial Board. |
