The I&O Team (Infrastructure & Operations) is looking for a Senior IT Systems Engineer for its Cloud Services team who will work a hybrid schedule at our Aurora, IL location. Accountable for applying a deep understanding of engineering practices to streamline business process in addition to ensuring corporate security and governance.

Please note: This opportunity will be located in Aurora, IL, and will work a hybrid schedule.

The role:

At Entegris, a Senior IT Systems Engineer will focus on maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly IT infrastructure and have a fundamental understanding of automation and scripting.

What you'll do:

  • Ability to operate at varying levels in IT Infrastructure, technical troubleshooting, configuration, and implementation.
  • Collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders and solutions around business process
  • Capable of collaborating with stakeholders and project leaders to understand requirements, and set expectations for deliverables
  • Serves as the primary support for infrastructure (Server, Systems, Backups, Storage, and Network)
  • Automate the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of infrastructure/network related tasks and devices
  • Provides technical expertise in the areas of system installation, configuration, tuning, capacity planning, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
  • Manage effective relationships and work in partnership with various IT and business teams, vendors, etc., for the implementation and support of infrastructure and networking products and services
  • Plan and prepare for disaster recovery and provide performance analysis relating to data replication
  • Provide, create, and update documentation on new or existing systems that include equipment lists/diagrams, and budgetary and system specifications

What we seek:

  • 5+ years of IT Infrastructure experience or Data Center Operations experience (IT infrastructure HCI, SDN, InfoSec, cloud compute, disaster/recovery, etc.)
  • 3+ years of VMware experience (ESXi, VCF, vSAN, vSphere, HCX, SDDC, NSX & ARIA)
  • Experience planning and executing projects that require contribution from cross-functional team members
  • Experience with private cloud infrastructure implementation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills- this role is heavily collaborative

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Semiconductor or manufacturing vertical including experience with operational technology (OT) and industrial networks preferred
  • Dell VxRail Build and deployment experience
  • 5+ years of cloud engineering experience (private/hybrid cloud)
  • 3+ years' experience working with IaaS & PaaS and native cloud services (Azure/GCP)
  • 5+ years of automation and scripting experience (PowerShell, PowerCLI, SQL etc.)
  • High-Performance Compute (HPC) design experience a plus!
  • Google Cloud Platform experience
  • Network administration experience - WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN
