Hospital Billing Supervisor - Patient Accounting

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Hospital Billing Supervisor is responsible for supervising the hospital billing team and the cash posting team. In summary these responsibilities include:

• Management of hospital billing and cash posting direct reports.

• Being a liaison between hospital billing and network contracting, payers and other hospital departments.

• Monitoring accounts receivable, denials, work queues, and resolving issues related to each.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

1. AA Degree in Business or Healthcare preferred.

2. 5 years of hospital or professional billing experience required.

3. 1 year of supervisory experience leading other staff.

4. Cash posting experience preferred and working with electronic 835's and electronic transactions.

5. Detail oriented/accurate while multi-tasking.

6. Evidence of Comprehensive coding course.

7. Microsoft office experience (especially word/excel).

8. Ability to analyze and problem solve.

9. Public speaking skills.
