Facilities Technician

Salary Range: $54,500 - $67,500 Annually

Work Location: Kapolei, HI

Primary Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Retail Facilities Manager, you will be delivering exemplary service to our Retail Store Teams at 30+ locations on various islands providing overall day-to-day interior and exterior buildings and property preservation of the Retail Branded Store locations. As part of your specific responsibilities, in the following areas, you will:

  • Operate various types of equipment, including pressure washer, hand tools, paint striping machine, general custodial and grounds keeping task

  • Ensure preservation of buildings interior and exterior, fueling areas, and sites surrounding areas as necessary

  • Preform general preservation of building interior and exterior components

  • Follow a preservation facilities maintenance program to ensure scheduling and completion of future projects are completed in timely manner

  • Maintain pressure washer equipment

  • Be able to assess issues as requested and communicate to Facilities Manager in a timely manner to ensure efficiency

  • Have demonstrated painting skills, with experience in some or all the following areas, such as pressure washing, water reclaiming, boom truck operation, construction, and hazardous material handling

  • Work with various equipment, tools, and materials as required

  • Work hours of 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday 7a-4p), and overnight/overtime as needed

  • Respond to callouts, after-hours (evenings/weekends/holiday)

  • Travel to various worksites on Oahu and outer island as needed

  • Respond to direction, work alone, and within a team

  • Perform essential duties and work in the conditions as described, and all other duties as assigned

  • Have excellent interpersonal skills with a professional and approachable demeanor

  • Work effectively with multiple levels and titles, and internal and external contacts

  • Plan, document and complete work with minimal supervision

Qualifications

To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.

Additional qualifications include:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Valid Driver's License required

  • Passing DOT medical exam after hire required

  • Minimum 2 years in construction or maintenance field required (painting, drywall, basic plumbing and electrical)

  • Certification in technical, mechanical, or carpentry training preferred

  • Experience working in retail petroleum fueling areas preferred

  • Ability to drive all company-controlled vehicles required, including a boom truck

  • Reliable personal vehicle for transportation to and from work sites

  • Be able to communicate in English (orally and in writing) including proficient cellular and computer communication skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift and lift items of 50 lbs or more

  • Ability to see with 20/40 vision (corrective lenses acceptable)

  • Ability to hear (hearing aids acceptable)

  • Frequent reaching overhead, gripping, wrist movement, and finger dexterity

  • Frequent squatting and kneeling and the ability to push/pull with arms up to a force of 50lbs

  • Capacity to work at different heights and able to climb ladders to work on rooftops

  • Constant awareness of Retail's safety, PPE requirements, and environmental policies and procedures for self and others

  • Exposure to gas fumes, solvents, dirt, heat, and noise

  • Work in a non-smoking and drug-free environment
