Position Description

We're looking for a full-time, staff Systems Administrator (Cleared) to join our SOC team. Primarily responsible for end users, including hardware and software support. The Systems Administrator will work with other IT team members to ensure the stable operation of the network, server, and workstation environment in support of all employees. This includes installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all hardware, software, and related equipment.

As the Systems Administrator, here's the work you'll do:



  • Provide support for enterprise and NISP project computer hardware, software, and networked systems. Escalate helpdesk tickets to team members and/or vendors when necessary.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary. Maintain software and hardware Inventories.
  • Oversee the daily performance of network and computer systems.
  • Maintain records of daily communication transactions, problems, remedial actions taken, installation activities and document network support activities and system configurations.
  • Work independently, providing training to individuals regarding the technology infrastructure, helping to ensure team projects, tasks, and goals are appropriately completed. Perform system upgrades and incorporate new technologies to the infrastructure minimizing effects on the user experience.
  • Proactively identify and recommend improvements for technology systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Perform the role of Data Custodian responsible for overseeing the handling of personal, protected and/or Covered Defense Information on behalf of Day & Zimmermann. Govern and audit the teams use of documented policies, standard operating procedures and secure practices associated with protecting trusted employee and customer data while complying with data protection principles and contract / regulatory requirements.



This role is for you if you have these skills:



  • Working technical knowledge of computer server hardware and computer hardware, including desktops and laptops.
  • Working technical knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows Professional, Windows Server, Active Directory, and services, including DNS and DHCP.
  • Working technical knowledge of MS Office Professional applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of English, including grammar and spelling to accurately communicate and prepare documents. Excellent interpersonal skills to positively engage employees at all levels. *
  • Data Privacy, Information Security and Contract / Regulatory Compliance.

And if you have these qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent or Associate's Degree related field preferred.
  • 1+ years of related experience.
  • CompTIA Security+. CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, and/or MCITP Enterprise Desktop Administrator preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Government SECRET Clearance, TOP SECRET preferred



In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $66,000 - $99,000 This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
