LSSI is hiringfull-timeandpart-timeChild Welfare Assistant-Case Aides.To transport children and supervise visits between parents and clients and document what goes in in visits.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide client monitoring and linkage to appropriate services both within LSSI and other community agencies.
  • Perform all tasks as required in the written service plan.
  • Transport clients as needed.
  • Meet productivity requirements as established by the program director or designee.
  • Communicate with supervisor, work group and collateral agencies regarding children's and /or family's status.

Position Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED with AA degree (2yrs) preferred.Noexperience required.
  • Basics of child development and parenting, or equivalent life experienceand to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear, comprehensible manner.
  • Capacity to understand, and empathize with the cultural, psychological, and practical needs of the clients that the agency serves.
  • Record of compliance with the law and clearance on the Illinois CANTS.
  • Valid Illinois driver's license and proof of automobile liability insurance and access to transportation to make home visits, and transport clients.
