Role: Full-Stack Software Engineer

Synonymous Business Title: Software Engineer

Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid role requiring 2 to 3 days onsite in the Coppell office)

Overview:

Blue Yonder Retail Planning is a comprehensive software product designed to optimize and streamline the retail planning process. Leveraging advanced algorithms and AI, it empowers retailers to forecast demand, optimize inventory levels, and create accurate merchandise plans. With its robust features for assortment planning, replenishment optimization, and sales forecasting, Blue Yonder Retail Planning enables retailers to enhance their operational efficiency, improve customer satisfaction, and drive profitability in a dynamic retail environment.

We are looking for an astute individual with experience building and designing SaaS-native, and multi-tenant applications using microservices.

Our Current Technical Environment:

  • Software/Tools: Java, Python, Groovy, GitHub, Node.js, React.js, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, SonarQube, Codacy, Checkmarx, GitHub Advance Security, Black Duck Hub, BlazeMeter, Artifactory, Ansible, Docker, etc.

  • Application Architecture: Scalable, Resilient, event driven, secure multi-tenant Microservices architecture

  • Cloud Architecture: MS Azure (ARM templates, AKS, Virtue Networks, Event Hub, Azure AD)

  • Frameworks/Others: Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Spark, NOSQL, RDBMS, Spring Boot, Snowflake

Scope & What You'll Do:

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain the backend components of the Blue Yonder Retail Planning product, utilizing technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.

  • Contribute to the design and architecture of the backend systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability of the software product.

  • Integrate the Blue Yonder Retail Planning product with external systems, such as ERP and inventory management systems, by designing and implementing robust APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange and communication.

  • Implement efficient data management strategies, including secure storage, retrieval, and processing of large volumes of retail data, utilizing SQL and NoSQL databases, and optimizing system performance.

  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to design and implement comprehensive testing frameworks, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to coding standards and best practices.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve backend-related issues reported by customers, addressing performance bottlenecks and ensuring system stability.

  • Stay updated with the latest technologies, industry trends, and best practices in backend development, actively contributing to the continuous improvement and innovation of the Blue Yonder Retail Planning product.

What We Are Looking For:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or similar.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in software development using Java and/or Python.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with frameworks Spring boot, Spring Web flux and/or Bash.

  • Hands-On experience and Proficiency in the following technical skills; Microservices, Azure or AWS Cloud, Kubernetes, GitHub, and/or DevOps domain knowledge.

  • Experience with Front-End Web Technologies (HTML, CSS, XML, JSON), Object Oriented Design (OOD) and/or Linux and Windows Platform.

The salary range for this position is: USD $99,208 - $143,896.

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
