Base Salary Range $95,000 to $115,000

What You'll Be Doing as an Electronics Engineer 2:
Works independently and cross functionally with Leupold & Stevens team members on the design, implementation, manufacturing, and testing of original visual optical, optoelectronic, and optomechanical systems and sub-systems of moderate complexity. Develops evaluation processes and procedures. Plans and conducts moderately complex to highly complex, sometimes broad electronics engineering assignments resulting in practical designs and systems for specialized electro-optical instruments which meet performance, cost, and manufacturability requirements. Will act as a point of contact and technical expert for the Company's cross-functional personnel with respect to the implementation, testing, and alignments of new and existing electronic sub-assemblies, and products.
- Designs and adapts existing digital hardware using industry standard computer aided design tools. Provides technical support for design, analysis, testing, documentation and developing specifications for electronic components, subassemblies and devices.
- Debugs prototype analog/digital systems to identify manufacturing and design issues.
- Collects, reports and interprets performance data on components, tools, assemblies and processes.
- Implementation of designs in hardware manufacturing and continued quality improvements at the manufacturing floor level.
- Works cross functionally to develop electronics test procedures and techniques for product performance, lifetime testing, and product improvement.
- Defining electronics engineering, electrical product development, and manufacturing best practices in assembly and inspection.
- Define supplier and technology partner development needs in collaboration with supply team.
- Functions as a member of a multidisciplinary project team to support problem solving and executing technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot non-conformances in electrical components and products. Provide the appropriate disposition and work with vendors to resolve issues.
- Creates and maintains electrical prints, layouts, and associated documentation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experiences You'll Need as an Electronics Engineer 2:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or science discipline with 3-5 years of experience in a commercial or industrial electrical product development environment performing design and debug related activity. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Good understanding of electronic system design and attributes. Knowledge of CAD design processes.
- Proficiency with soldering, use of electronic test equipment, and program/code editing.
- Experience in the design of flexible printed circuits
- Expertise with reading electronic schematics and interpreting engineering specifications.
- Ability to write and effectively present information and respond to standard questions from managers, technical and non-technical professionals.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functional areas as a project team member.
- Ability to effectively use and apply Company approved software and office equipment to process and accomplish job-related tasks.
- Capability to work in a fast-paced cross-functional environment meeting demanding timelines.
- Knowledge of hunting and shooting sports preferred but not required.
Work Environment for an Electronics Engineer 2:
Normal office environment with occasional travel and exposure to manufacturing operations.
