Ensures that a positive example is set for all team members. * Recognizes when team members need coaching and provides immediate coaching when applicable. * Issue refunds and resolves customer concerns. * Reports known or suspected security and/or theft problems to a member of store management, appropriate District Manager, and/or Asset Protection department. * Complies with all agency policies, procedures, and safety standards throughout all work areas; maintains same to meet CARF, Department of Labor, and other regulatory standards. * Leads retail team and store activities in the absence of/and at the direction of the Retail Store Manager and/or Retail Assistant Store Manager; see Supervisory Responsibilities below. * Performs all administrative and clerical duties including but not limited to completing opening/closing duties, making bank deposits and securing the building at the direction of the Store Manager or Assistant Manager (#485) in accordance with established guidelines. * Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Leads retail team and store activities in the absence of/and at the direction of the Retail Store Manager and/or Retail Assistant Store Manager. Carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the Agency's policies and procedures. Responsibilities include training team members, planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing concerns and reporting circumstances to the Retail Store Manager or Retail Assistant Store Manager. Qualifications Must be able to: * Read and interpret memos and operating and procedure manuals. * Effectively present standard information in one-on-one situations to customers and other team members of the organization using tact, courtesy and cooperativeness. * Add/subtract two digit numbers and multiply and divide by 10's and 100's. * Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. * Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables. * Operate a telephone, multi-key register, typewriter, computer, fax machine, and material handling equipment. * Obtain and maintain Forklift/Stacker and CPR/First Aid certifications. * Perform data entry and keyboarding. * Instruct or verify the work of others. Education and Experience High School diplomas or general education degree (GED) and one year of retail experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
