Master Operations Technician/Butter Room

General Purpose:




To follow set procedures of product production in a safe manner to ensure the product meets quality specifications set by the company to fulfill customer specifications..




Duties and Responsibilities:





  • Looking for ways to improve the work area and environment.
  • Provide guidance to co-workers to help them better understand there job functions.
  • Ensure all product produced is within accepted specifications.
  • Maintain maximum efficiency of all equipment.
  • Perform random inspections of equipment after CIP.
  • Periodically check chemical strengths.
  • Maintain accurate and orderly production logs.
  • Notify supervisor of any problems that might come up.
  • If we are backed up in one area of the Butter Room help out.
  • Perform follow-up on SAP variance report and provide feedback.
  • Comply with SQF policies/procedures, DFA policies/procedures and maintain GMP's within areas assigned
  • Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble packaging equipment, churns, and piping in the butter room.
  • Adhere to all DFA Quality policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
  • Adhere to all DFA Safety policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
  • Adhere to all DFA GMP policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
  • Check all paperwork and inventory reports to insure accuracy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Required Minimum Qualifications:


Education and Experience



  • High School Degree or Educational Equivalent.
  • Three years previous experience preferred in the following, Churn and Filler



Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities





  • Basic math skills.
  • Full knowledge of the butter room
