A Brief Overview

This includes analyzing technology and overseeing the Continuing Medical Education platform, that job does not include data and statistics job function responsibilities.

Under the direction of the Director of Continuing Education (CE), develop and maintain conference/course website, CE databases, CE event management software, CE accreditation software. Maintain content for CME websites and social media platforms. This role will develop and deploy video, podcasts and online education for clinicians and other healthcare providers. This role will develop visual elements and layouts of websites, combining the Hospital visual identity with established best practices in interactive design. This role will collaborate to create visually appealing design solutions for external websites and interactive applications. In addition, this individual will assist in ongoing communication with external learners and internal participants about updates to programs and services. The role will work with multiple constituencies on the web, education and learning services.

What you will do

  • Maintain CE online event management software (CloudCME) that assists in the planning and promotion of CME courses
  • Develop technological solutions and recommend software, technology and systems to ensure that purchased products meet the needs of CME program goals
  • Provide technical support in educational sessions, monitors onsite technology, presentations, sound, video, and assists CE faculty with their presentation needs in order to deliver quality conferences
  • Train and educate CE staff and conference staff on use of CE meeting technology, software, social media, event management and registration software to deliver quality CE courses that support learning objectives
  • Develop enduring materials (online modules, lectures, Grand Rounds, Podcast/Vodcast) for CloudCME
  • Create clean, consistent designs across program websites and platforms.
  • Create audio and video production and manage post-production editing
  • Code separating presentation from structure. Maintain accurate documentation of code including decisions and rationale.
  • Test websites and applications for cross-platform compatibility and a uniform look across multiple browsers. Provide quality assurance of all deliverables.

Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED Required
  • Associate's Degree Web Design Preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • At least three (3) years Interactive design experience Required
  • A strong background in instructional design Preferred

Skills and Abilities

  • Intermediate knowledge of interactive design principles (Required proficiency)
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe product suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Flash) (Required proficiency)
  • Intermediate proficiency with Audio and video production and post-production tools (Final Cut Pro, After Effects, etc) (Required proficiency)
  • Intermediate proficiency with executing user group testing. (Required proficiency)
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills (Required proficiency)
  • Intermediate proficiency with coding (HTML 5, JavaScript, CSS 3 code) (Preferred proficiency)
  • Strong organizational skills (Required proficiency)
  • Strong project management skills (Required proficiency)
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels (Required proficiency)
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to change (Required proficiency)
  • Ability to influence others to accomplish tasks outside of the direct span of control (Required proficiency)
