Compensation: Salary + Commission

PURPOSE

Provides support to retail, contractors and BFS Outside Sales Representatives for customers, responds to telephone and e-mail inquiries from customers. Utilizes specialized knowledge and experience for Windows to assist customers with product selection, pricing, availability, services, and refunds/exchanges. Determines customer specific requirements and expectations to recommend specific products and services. May recommend alternative products based on cost, availability, or specifications. Generates sales quotations and orders requiring a strong working knowledge of Vendor products, procedures, and practices

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  1. Assists Outside Sales Representatives (OSR) with quotations, orders, deliveries - Will Calls

    1. Works closely with the OSR to support all activities associated with the sale and service for the Windows products. Shall include but not limited to quotations, modification / changes for quotations, finalize sales with the vendor, required documentation for OnLine,


  2. Actively engaged in selling Vendor specific Windows products and services. Provides material quotations, estimates and pricing for walk-in, retail / homeowner accounts, Installation Contractors, Single Family Developers and Multi-Family projects supporting the assigned BFS Outside Sales Representatives. Enters quotations and orders into computer system.
  3. Provide direct support to Outside Sales Representatives and may accompany OSR to customer sites or meetings with customers.
  4. Communications with Vendors for Special Order Purchase Orders, Customer Sales Orders, and coordinates delivery, Will Call and Services with store operations.
  5. Uses customer calls as opportunities to provide information about features and benefits of company products and services and engages in researching, identifying, and soliciting new customers and expanding business with current customers.
  6. Troubleshoots order processing issues to ensure customer satisfaction and optimize sales opportunities. Identifies trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction.
  7. May participate in coordinating and conducting customer workshops.
  8. Provides mentoring and training to less experienced Inside Sales Representatives following company guidelines and Windows specific internal processes.
  9. May assist with store housekeeping, signage, stocking, inventory control and other related activities as needed.
  10. Plans and paces own work efficiency to meet daily, weekly, project or team-related productivity goals. Escalate to Inside Sales Manager for assistance in meeting those goals. Specifically related to quoting, ordering and delivery of products within the acceptable guidelines.
  11. Remains current on customer preferences, changes in local codes and product developments by attending in-house training, vendor training or reading trade journals.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business Management or related field and five (5) years product sales experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to use tact and skill in dealing with other staff, management and vendors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and an enterprise resource planning (ERP) program

In addition to the base wage listed, this position is further eligible to receive commission compensation for earned commissions related to sales of eligible Company products and/or services subject to changes in plan design and documents and in accordance with applicable law. Commissions are based on a percentage of the transactions sold and subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable Commission Agreement.
