Baptist Health is looking for a Research Site Manager to join our team in Lexington, KY

The research site manager is responsible for the successful execution of protocols at the site level formultiple investigators and therapeutic areas, including industry-sponsored, federally funded andinvestigator-initiated trials. Working in a top-down management environment, serve as an expert resourceto assigned staff to oversee and facilitate the development and implementation of tools, plans andstrategies for managing the clinical trial portfolio and clinical monitoring activities for clinical research trialsassociated with the multiple therapeutic area(s). Serve as supervisor for assigned research staff.Responsibilities include development and maintenance of research documents to ensure accuratereporting, documentation, and overall organization so the program is always audit ready. Workscollaboratively as a participating member of Baptist Health Research administrative leadership team whichincludes, Associate Vice President of Research, Director, investigators, staff and other functional group keyrepresentatives from key therapeutic areas.

Essential Duties:

  • Serve as supervisor for assigned clinical research staff across multiple therapeutic area(s) and assessassigned staff on work assignments, utilization, and productivity.

  • Develop written performance standards for clinical trial personnel.

  • Provide expertise in managing clinical trial activity in individual therapeutic areas and clinical monitoringactivities utilizing advanced practices to assigned staff. Provide advice and guidance to staff forassessment, resolution, and documentation of both routine and complex program and study issues.

  • Conduct ongoing developmental discussions for assigned staff.

  • Work with internal and external training resources as required; ensure that all staff assigned is currentwith their required training (non-study specific) including SOPs, ICH/GCP, and therapeutic -basedtraining.

  • Provide development opportunities for assigned staff including coaching, mentoring, professionaldevelopment and performance management.

  • Develop and maintain programmatic budget.

  • Utilization of staff and resources to support programmatic goals that align with the system overarchingmission, vision, and values.

Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required

  • Bachelor's degree, BS, BSN, BA in business orhealthcare arena with seven years job-related experience. MHA preferred.
  • Certification through the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) or Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) required, and/or obtained within 6 months of eligibility to sit for exam.
