Job Description

Danfoss Turbocor Compressors Inc, a leading-edge technology company in Tallahassee, Florida, is looking for a Investigator. The hours for this position are Monday - Thursday 3:30 pm - 2:00 am with occasional Friday overtime.The Investigator inspects customer returns such as compressors or spare parts. Operate test fixtures such as electronics testers, compressor open air testers and other test fixtures.Tear down compressors using all necessary mechanical tools and measuring devices as well as report the teardown findings in computer system.

Our products are high speed, oil-free HVAC compressors using magnetic bearings, variable speed direct drive and digital control technologies. The ProductionTechnician will be responsible for mass-production of varying models of oil-free compressors by performing and participating in component parts preparation and line assembly operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and orderly workplace.
  • Maintain clean, safe and orderly workaround for shared Tools and Test Equipment.
  • Download compressor historical Data and troubleshoot before Teardown
  • Do a full mechanical compressor Teardown using all mechanical Tools and Measuring Devices
  • Operate functional Testers
  • Contribute to 8D Root Cause Investigation.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills:



  • Fluid English in writing and speaking
  • Strong skills in MS Office such as Word and Excel
  • Mechanical Teardown requires ability to work physical with Tools
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Good logical thinking and problem solving skills


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in mechanical and electrical working
  • Demonstrated working experience within electronics or mechatronics is preferred
