Summary/Primary Purpose: Maintain a safe and secure environment for all employees, residents, and visitors to the complex, as required by security policies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities: None Education and/or Experience: High school or equivalent diploma, and 6 months or more experience in a related field. Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required for this position.
Other Qualifications: Must pass all applicable background checks. Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside. Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Ability to be trained and attain within the first 6 months: First Aid, Automated External Defibrillator (AED), Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Ability to climb five flights of stairs to ensure evacuation/safety of residents. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Working Conditions: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The environment is where the clients reside and/or visit, and might be loud or busy at times. While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and or humid conditions and varying temperatures.
