About This Role

Kansas State University's Aerospace and Technology Campus is seeking multiple part-time Certified Flight Instructors (CFI's) to join its growing team of aviation flight professionals! Certified Flight Instructors perform flight training of private pilot, instrument pilot, and commercial pilot students, ensuring consistent progress.

This position is based out of the new satellite location near Olathe, KS.

Kansas State University's Aerospace and Technology Campus has an award-winning professional pilot program and has more Master Certified Aviation Instructors than any other college or university in the nation. We have a premium fleet of 35 aircraft and flight training devices with a large, active airport only steps away from the classroom. Our Professional Pilot degree option is FAA regulation part 141 approved, AABI accredited, and allows students to qualify for a Restricted Airline Transport Certificate (ATP) at 1,000 hours.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma
  • Current FAA Certified Flight Instructor Single-Engine Land (CFI)


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII)
