As USAC continues to support universal service impacting health care providers, educators, and consumers, it is critical now more than ever that we hire people equally passionate and committed to helping fulfill our mission. We are currently seeking an experienced, dynamic and collaborative professional to serve as a Financial System Engineer IV (Oracle EBS) with our IT team. Reporting to the Senior Manager Software Development you will:

  • Manage and oversee the full implementation life-cycle and support for all projects dealing with USAC's Financial System.
  • Develop and maintain efficient processes using Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) that provide effective controls and reliable data for the purpose of recording financial transactions, producing financial reports and supporting our month-end financial close process. Perform changes and enhancements to the configuration of the system.
  • Oversee the work of internal and/or external resources completing the configuration.
  • Oversee and manage ongoing maintenance of financial systems, including the addition of new accounts, the assignment of reconciliations, and the closing of accounting periods.
  • Monitor and proactively address any system errors, delegating to other team members as needed.
  • Lead the design and implementation of Oracle EBS solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Develop and maintain various financial reports needed by the Finance and Accounting teams to support internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Work closely with Finance and Accounting teams to understand their business needs and translate them into technical solutions using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services.
  • Develop and maintain best practices for system configurations, upgrades, and general support.
  • Serve as the Oracle EBS technical expert in providing support and advice regarding system capabilities and functions.
  • Oversee maintenance of test scripts, support for plug-ins, and interface development for In-house or COTS solutions integration.
  • Collaborate with end-users in documenting business processes, work instructions, and training curriculums in support of the company's evolving use of its Financial System.
  • Ensure functional and technical documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree and/or relevant technical training and certifications. Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
  • Seven (7) to Nine (9) years of hands-on experience in Oracle Applications as a Technical consultant.
  • Three (3) to Four (4) years' experience with Oracle tools: Oracle Forms and Reports, BI Publisher, Oracle Workflow Builder.
  • Experience with Oracle Applications development utilizing SQL/PL/SQL.
  • Five (5) plus years hands on experience working with Oracle database/table structures of EBS
  • modules.
  • Strong technical expertise in Oracle EBS R12 finance modules (General Ledger, Cash management, Receivables, Sub-ledger Accounting, etc.).
  • Experience in month-end processes, ledger reconciliation and summary reporting tools to develop internal and external reports is required.
  • Ability to communicate abstract concepts and data analysis results with business users
  • In-depth understanding of accounting treatment of transactions and interfacing to General Ledger.
  • Understanding of COTS implementations and application development and multi-system interfaces.
  • Ability to quickly build effective working relationships and influence cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
