Behavioral Weight Management Specialist, Norton Community Medical Associates - Health & Weight Specialist, Days

The role of the Behavioral Weight Mgmt Specialist is to evaluate and assess potential candidates for bariatric surgery and provide ongoing therapeutic support and intervention post-operatively, in consultation with physicians and other members of the bariatric health care team. The care of the obese patient requires an understanding of and sensitivity to the unique needs of this population. The Behavioral Weight Mgmt Specialist can positively impact the delivery of a high level of patient care within the obese population by serving as the multidisciplinary team. In addition, the mental health professional will work with the medically supervised weight management program within Norton Healthcare.

Required:

• One year as a mental health professional
• Master Degree
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Desired:

• One year working with bariatric patients
