We are looking for a dedicated VDC Coordinator II to join our talented team at our office located in Germantown, MD. In this role, you will assist with obtaining, evaluating, and coordinating all information needed to construct the project in accordance with the contract documents through BIM models and to assure that the work meets all safety standards, is within schedule requirements, and is constructed to the highest level of quality possible. This will be done by leveraging BIM tools and processes to benefit project workflows. Position Responsibilities
- Works on complex assignments independently, with attention to detail, and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues.
- Reviews models from designers, subcontractors, and others to ensure proper coordination and installation.
- Coordinates all BIM logistics (contracts, emails, communication, file sharing, etc).
- Coordinates and facilitates subcontractor BIM meetings.
- Creates and maintains federated models for many purposes (PE review models, field inspection models, punch list background models, and field instruction models).
- Conducts general review and documentation of design documents and coordination conflicts.
- Facilitates regular meetings with design team members and distributes responses to subcontractors.
- Provides general BIM tech support for project engineers.
- Assists in the validation of model-based project as-builts by trade subcontractors.
- Responsible for individual quality control and timely completion of assigned projects.
- Provides field CQC support, resolving field disputes through model verification.
- Provides modeling for change order verification, ROMs, scope holes in modeling efforts, design team support, etc.

Qualifications & Requirements
- A Bachelor/Associate/Technical degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 3-5 years of experience in computer-assisted drafting, design, and VDC/BIM.
- Has knowledge of and/or takes initiative to learn modeling software; including but not limited to: Navisworks, Revit, SketchUp, and AutoCAD.
- Has strong working knowledge of MEP systems and installations.
- Extensive capabilities with MS Office.
- Has extensive knowledge of the nuances, features, functions, and limitations of Autodesk and Bentley 3D/BIM Platforms, including experience with complex workflows involving these platforms.
- Knowledge of Design-Bid-Build, Design/Build, Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), and other modern contractual delivery methods.
- Understands the Construction industry and maintains knowledge of future trends.
- Understands project workflows from design, estimation, construction administration and coordination, and fabrication.
- Has field experience in design and construction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360, Glue, Field, and other Autodesk products.
Travel is based on project location but willingness to travel 30-50% of the time to various job locations is necessary. This position is a safety-sensitive position. The employee is designated for field work and attends activities at client sites where they work in construction, process, packaging, manufacturing, research, or other "non-administrative" areas.
