Senior Datacenter Lab Systems Administrator Category: Information & Communication Technology Employment Type: Contract Reference: BH-379750 Senior Datacenter Lab Systems Administrator 6+ month contract Plano, TX (Hybrid - tues, wed, thurs) Responsibility: Responsible for network setup and management including maintenance and troubleshoot issues. Perform system setup, integration, and validation of network devices both hardware and software. Execute system maintenance of servers/workstations/network elements to support teams Provides support for the design, validation, and configuration management of lab systems. Administer user's system access and protection of information to meet security requirements. Monitors system performance to support capacity planning, backup, and disaster recovery planning. Manage the budgeting needs of the engineering lab space. Skills: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in engineering datacenter lab management for software and hardware dev teams Strong knowledge and experience with virtualization platforms (Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV, KVM, and VMware) and network administration/architecture (Cisco, Juniper, Brocade and the like). This is very important to be accepted and successful in this role. Exceptional working knowledge/experience administering server operating systems (Windows & Linux). Strong experience with VMware vRealize and other lab automation tools. Solid working experience with Jira and Confluence. Hands-on experience with Linux, Python, and other scripting languages is recommended. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot software and network issues logically and analytically. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies. Understand highly available, resilient, and scalable network infrastructure and services. IP v4/V6 addressing scheme. Must be local and able to travel to Datacenter as needed (located in Plano, TX) Very good Networking / scripting capabilities (ie Java/JavaScript) Solid expertise in virtualization environments Estimated Min Rate: $60.00 Estimated Max Rate: $65.00 Note: Any pay ranges displayed are estimations.
