Are you seeking a flexible part-time job that will allow you to engage in one of your favorite pastimes? Are you a sports enthusiast with a deep understanding of league rules and a desire to inspire youth? This may be the role for you! The Haverhill YMCA is seeking enthusiastic coaches to lead our Basketball League on Saturdays and then transition into our JR Celtics league, an official partnership with the Boston Celtics that starts in December. Our Coaches participate in youth leagues teaching fundamental skills and helping the players understand components of the game. In this role, you will be challenged to problem solve, mentor youth, plan activities, and demonstrate leadership. You will have the opportunity to grow and learn while working with the players in the program. Our Coaches and staff make a difference in the lives of our youth and feel inspired by the work they do. You have experience supporting the supervision of youth at play or in a structured program and understand the growth and development of school-age children.
