Our site in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Automation Technician II to join our team. HOURS FOR THIS POSITION ARE 7AM-3:30PM MONDAY-FRIDAY. The Automation Technician II handles maintenance PM's to maintain robots and secondary equipment. Troubleshoot and repair Robotic equipment to OEM standards to minimize downtime. Project work will consist of the design & build of fixtures to ensure product is built correctly, inspected and/or assembled properly to meet customer specifications. What you'll do:
- This position provides support to production through the Manufacturing Engineers for designing, fabricating components, assembly and testing of fixtures and equipment used in the production of Entegris product throughout the facility.
- This position handles Preventive Maintenance of robots and secondary equipment. Troubleshoots and repairs robotic equipment to OEM standards to minimize downtime.
- This position requires the use of Solidworks CAD and CNC machining ability.
- This position requires understanding of Entegris core manufacturing processes.
- This position requires controls programming, Vision programming and robotic Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers, Process Technicians and Manufacturing personnel in a team environment. Participate in problem solving sessions.
- Plan, Design, Build and Implement fixtures to ensure product is built correctly, inspected, measured and/or assembled properly to meet customer specifications.
- Plan, Design, Build and Implement vision inspection equipment
- Work with robotics: Electrics (AC/DC), Hydraulic, Basic Pneumatic and servo motors, sensors and HMI interfaces
- Program PLC's, HMI's and vision systems to meet the requirements of the equipment.
- Machine fixtures, Degating fixtures (gate/sprue removal equipment), Test fixtures, Assembly fixtures or small hand tools used during the manufacturing process.
- Design and build EOAT (end of arm tooling)
- Perform PM on robots and secondary equipment to minimize downtime and/or prevent major damage
- Proactively learn, maintain robotic equipment running to meet OTD (on time delivery), yield output and quality goals to our customer
- Create maintenance summary reports
- Comply with all safety requirements and procedures and design all equipment with operator safety built-in
- Provide equipment training to Supervisors, lead personnel, shift trainers, etc. as required.
- Promote and participate in Lean Manufacturing Events
- Complete miscellaneous task to support manufacturing programming.
What We Seek:
- Vocational/technical college degree in machining (manual and CNC) or 5 years related experience requested.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Able to read and understand blueprint with electrical, pneumatics and hydraulic schematic diagrams.
- Knowledge of Solidworks or CAD design software
- Good self-starter, able to make logical decisions and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Windows: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Require high degree of mechanical aptitude and creative problem solving.
- Ability to program PLC, HMI, servo and stepper drives, Faunc, Sepro and Star Robots
- Ability to program vision systems
- Ability to program data point collection from equipment for download to Cam Line.
- Ability to create and provide schematics for control panels, electrical circuits, and pneumatic circuits.
- Ability to wire and/or troubleshoot control panels and electrics circuits using schematics.
- Ability to plumb and/or troubleshoot pneumatic circuits using schematics.
- Ability to design and specify mechanical, pneumatic and electrical components needed to build equipment.
- Basic understanding and working knowledge of molding, 2nd operations machining and cleanroom procedures and practices
- Must be able to complete turn- key automation systems independently from design to integration without support from others.
