JOB TITLE: Raw Material Receiver
JOB TYPE: Intermediate Level General Labor
LOCATION: Hanover, Pennsylvania

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Raw Material Receiver is responsible for all potato, corn, flour and oil unloading activities, all quality testing of raw potatoes, corn, flour and oil, sanitation of the potato bin room and waste removal in the potato bin room. Also responsible for maintaining waste removal and wastewater area. This position will require a high level of partnership and collaboration with QA Leads.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Personal safety is the most important function of all plant jobs; works safely, reports potential hazards, and helps to ensure the safety of others.
* Receive, test, and accept all potato, corn, flour, and oil deliveries.
* Enter and confirm raw materials receiving in the IFS computer system.
* Review driver paperwork for completeness and accuracy; track and monitor weight tickets.
* Upon arrival, open trailer doors and inspect the tail end for any signs of non-product related foreign Material (i.e., glass, metal, plastic, rocks, etc.). Collect and test samples from different areas of potato and corn trucks. These samples should be combined in the grading table.
* Analyze potatoes for tuber temperature, for biological breakdown, rot and visible greening and conduct size testing.
* Record the sample results on the Potato Receiving form.
* If samples indicate that all receiving results are within specifications, begin the unloading of the trailer. If results are outside of corporate guidelines, seek assistance from the appropriate individuals to determine next steps.
* When unloading the trailer continue inspecting for foreign material during the entire unloading process. Upon completion of the unloading, the waste bins should be weighed and recorded, and the area should be cleaned and prepared for the next truck to arrive.
* Maintain receiving area in good housekeeping order according to company GMP's.
* Follow all safety guidelines and SOPs for processes identified above.
* Will be crossed trained on QA Tech Role.
* May perform QA Tech roles as needed.
* May perform other duties as required.
* Mandatory overtime may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

Education: High School Diploma or GED is preferred, but not required

Experience: 1-year production experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, but not required

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The starting rate for this full-time, hourly position is $22.50

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
