Join our team as an ABA Classroom Behavior Technician (which we call Classroom Counselor) and become a key player in shaping the educational journey of students with developmental challenges. As a Classroom Counselor, you'll work hand-in-hand with our dedicated team of behavior analysts and educators to implement personalized behavior intervention plans, foster positive social interactions, and cultivate essential skills in a dynamic classroom environment.   • Skill Building: You'll be instrumental in implementing personalized behavior intervention plans crafted by our skilled behavior analysts, guiding students towards positive behavioral outcomes.





  • Direct Support: In the classroom, you'll provide hands-on support to students, fostering positive behaviors and encouraging meaningful social interactions that enhance their learning experience.

  • Data Collection and Analysis: Your keen eye for detail will be essential as you collect and analyze data on student progress and behavior, ensuring accurate documentation that guides our strategies and interventions.

  • Communication and Training: Strengthen the bridge between home and school by effectively communicating with parents and caregivers, providing valuable updates on student progress and offering strategies for consistency and support beyond the classroom.

  • Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older to join our team and embark on this rewarding journey.





  • Driver's License: A valid and current U.S. driver's license is required for this role, enabling you to navigate and support our community effectively.





  • Educational Background: A bachelor's degree or 1+ years working in direct care at May Institute is mandatory. It being in psychology, education, or a related field is preferred. It lays a strong foundation for understanding and supporting individuals with developmental challenges.





  • Experience: Previous experience working with individuals facing developmental challenges or in a classroom setting is desirable. Your hands-on experience adds depth to our team's expertise.





  • Availability: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm





  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills are key. We value your ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, educators, and families, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.





  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail are vital, especially in tasks like data collection and documentation. Your meticulous approach ensures accuracy and reliability in our records.
