What You'll Do in This Position

The IT Technical Business Analyst Intern provides value-added services by focusing on producing quality and timely IT products and services in accordance with SRNS IT processes and procedures. These products may include project initiatives, document maintenance, communications, and other operational excellence program initiatives. Primary responsibilities of this position include, under supervision, supporting projects and learning to write business-specific documents; leveraging technical aptitude; working to assist others to meet deadlines; learning SRNS and relevant section/department systems and requirements for accomplishing tasks; demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills; developing and utilizing organizational skills; and performing various business coordination activities.

The hourly base rate of pay for this internship starts at $18.00, and may increase based on major and class standing.

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifications We Require

Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5.

Must be a full-time student at an accredited four-year college or university, or within one year after finishing a degree program.

Must have completed freshman year of college.

Must successfully complete Savannah River Site General Employee Training and substance abuse processing.

Other Qualifications

Unofficial transcripts are required and must be uploaded into BrassRing before the job posting closes.

Undergraduate or graduate student progressing towards a Technical or Business
related degree. Proficient in Microsoft Office products (i.e., Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint)

Qualifications We Desire

Declared major of Business - Management Information Systems, or similar discipline.
