Directs and coordinates fabrication, installation, operation, application, maintenance and repair of mechanical or electromechanical machines, equipment, tools, engines and systems | Ensures that quality levels and industry standards are maintained or improved in the manufacturing process | Oversees installation, operation, maintenance and repair of equipment such as centralized heat, gas, water and steam systems | Evaluates mechanical products to determine their cost effectiveness and efficiency | May evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions Ideal candidate will have experience and capability in the following areas:
Mechanical design using CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred)
Major Position Responsibilities
Basic Qualifications Required Education: Associate's Degree and 2-4 years in a relevant function Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree Discipline/Major: Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering related degree required Oral and written communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Problem-solving skills. Analytical thinking skills. Applied mechanics. Design engineering. Design optimization. Design review. Mechanical engineering. Prototyping. Requirements engineering/analysis. CAD software. Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) software. As well as be Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). |
