Job Description
The Senior Vice President, Revenue Management/ Business Insights is responsible for leading all Omni's revenue efforts comprised of revenue management, distribution, and call centers. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated history of working in the hospitality industry and is skilled in strategic partnerships, revenue generation, property management systems, revenue forecasting, CRM and MICROS. The individual will be focused on implementing revenue strategies and objectives which maximize revenues and optimize business results across all market segments. This reports to the Chief Commercial Officer. This position is based in Dallas, TX at the Omni Corporate Office.
Responsibilities
Participate on senior leadership team to establish goals and deliver strategies through revenue management, distribution, strategic partnerships and customer experience innovations
- Ability to address complex issues and execute multifaceted plans for a variety of functions.
- Lead strategic planning efforts for the commercial disciplines, ensuring that programs and initiatives align to company-wide business objectives and strategies.
- Optimize RevPAR and TRevPAR by analyzing/forecasting demand and establishing effective selling strategies, oversell strategies, optimal and seasonal market mix across group, transient and wholesale segments.
- Focus on user experience and brand experience excellence across all consumer touch-points
- Oversee pricing ancillary revenue streams (i.e. golf, spa, etc.) and drive alignment
- Work with the corporate leadership in recommending and implementing innovative and effective Revenue Management programs for the brand and properties.
- Conduct ongoing competitor price/product analyses to ensure proper rate positioning/product offering.
- Work with team to ensure ongoing training to improve performance and drive retention.
- Act as a liaison with electronic distribution channels and OTAs to maximize property exposure and bookings.
- Provide a monthly analysis to management complete with view on future performance across all market segments to include rate, occupancy, and RevPAR.
- Develop selling strategies across all available distribution channels/reservation sources (PMS, third-party reservations providers, call centers, websites, OTAs, GDS, etc.)
- Continually monitor all pertinent travel related websites to ensure competitiveness in positioning, content, availability, and price.
- Maximize revenues by monitoring transient and group production, ensuring that an optimal guest mix is maintained.
- Oversee Central Reservation operation in Omaha.
- Critically analyze the impact of the revenue management strategies implemented by the brand and properties.
- Compile data, analyze trends, and develop accurate weekly and monthly forecasts.
- Update and maintain all revenue management tools.
- Work effectively with people, creating teamwork, taking charge, generating enthusiasm, motivating, and using an uplifting and lead-by-example leadership approach consistent with Omni's culture.
- Develop internal talent that facilitates future growth opportunities for team members in keeping with Omni's Core Values.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, preferable in business/management
- Minimum 15 years' experience in hospitality revenue management and business analytics required, with career progression into senior management position
- Minimum seven years' experience required in senior leadership role
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, continuing to deliver quality service and consistently meet deadlines
- Knowledge and experience with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Technology and Systems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentations to high-level business leaders
- Travel required
- Proactive leader with ability to collaborate and develop emerging talent
