Milwaukee bus line 1st shift, Mon - Fri, 6am - 2pm $20 - $30 p/hr As part of our steel fabrication team, you will be responsible for producing a wide array of weldments to exact specifications, ensuring they fit correctly, and performing component assembly tasks. Requirements Position and secure work pieces using hoists, cranes, wire and banding machines or hand tools. Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead position Hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components. Able to work with gage steel through to thick plate. Assist with welding of weldments. Forklift operation Other duties as assigned or directed by Management. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience Overhead crane and forklift certified a plus Strong math skills, ability to read a tape measure, and an understanding of blue prints Experience in Metal Core 052 to 06, Hard Wire 035 to 045, Flux Core 052 to 062 and Multiple Pass a must Knowledge of machines and tools, comfort working with hand tools, grinder, torch, etc. Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills Ability to prioritize and multitask
