Metal Finisher/Polisher

$25 P/hr

A large manufacturing company is looking for experienced Metal Parts Polisher to join their team. This position is responsible for grinding, filing, or sanding surfaces of metal items; examining surface of metal to detect defects, such as dents, scratches, or breaks in metal; removing dents and filling uneven surface with molten solder; as well as smoothing surface of item to specified finish. Qualified candidate must have between 2 and 3 years experience with metal finishing/polishing using hand tools, power tools (powered polishing wheel/belt), and knowledge of commonly used metal finishing techniques.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Polishes parts using various belts, buffs and compounds.

2. Responsible for inspecting own work to maintain quality and production standards in all work completed.

3. Services machines as required and performs other related activities as required by the department supervisor.

4. Other duties may be assigned.
