See Full List of Benefits Here: 2024 INOVA BENEFITS GUIDE Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is seeking a Clinical Value Analysis Manager to join the Supply Chain Management team! This role is full-time Monday to Friday (Hybrid). Requirements for consideration:
- Bachelor's degree in related field (or relevant experience in lieu of degree equivalent to 4 years)
- 3 years of clinical experience
Job Responsibilities included but not limited to:
- Conducts literature review to provide evidence relevant to a product/service for service line committee use to support/refute product request; Gathers, researches, analyzes and present recommendations in an objective, non-biased manner.
- Decreases product/service expenditures by selection of the most effective and economical quality products/services based on trial/evaluation methods that are evidence-based.
- Coordinates agendas with committee chairs and assists with prioritization prior to scheduled meetings and facilitates meetings along with committee chair; Coordinates with committee chairs the monthly accounting for cost savings, cost increases, net progress to goal; Develops meeting agendas, create data presentations, develop and manage project plans.
- Coordinates the trial/evaluation process to assure proper use of products, use of appropriate evaluation criteria, documentation of feedback and that the right stakeholders are involved.
- Reviews product evaluation feedback to ensure that a written summary of post-trial/evaluation feedback and cost analysis are provided to the committee for final decision-making; Maintains a process for the continual identification and prioritization of cost containment opportunities by targeting products, equipment or services that can be standardized, modified or eliminated to increase operational efficiency or reduce variation and cost.
- Applies clinical knowledge and experience in collaboration with other clinicians to facilitate the value analysis process; Applies clinical knowledge of product utilization to support sourcing leadership in contract negotiations with vendors.
- Collaborates with sourcing leader to provide clinical benchmarking expertise.
- Manages the implementation/conversion of approved products/services through collaboration with supply chain operations, educational resources, suppliers and specific user groups as needed; Utilize LEAN principals to develop and improve clinical processes as they relate to product utilization.
- Assists supply chain operations in the resolution of any problems associated with product conversions; Assists sourcing leadership with identification of subs as needed.
- Maintains record of all value analysis committee activities to provide monthly report to Steering Committee regarding savings achieved, products approved that will add cost, declinations and potential barriers to success; Measures, monitors and analyzes post-implementation projected product use and expenditures to validate savings.
- Interacts with service line leadership to develop, coordinate and integrate cost management programs into services lines by assisting with program development, data collection and analysis, implementation, monitoring and follow up; Develops and maintains professional working relationships and utilizes teambuilding skills to accomplish goals and meet customer needs.
- Provides guidance and education to committee membership and end users on the product request process and their respective roles and responsibilities; Guides and advises product requestors and team members around expectations, timelines, work effort, decision-making and appeals using a consistently applied value analysis process.
- Educates vendors in the value analysis process at Inova and communicates roles and expectations for business partners.
- May perform additional duties as assigned.
