The Project Management Specialist III shall provide management and program analysis services to the FAALC to include, but not limited to planning, scheduling, conducting, and reporting analyses of management, administrative, and logistics programs and procedures to determine resource requirements and utilization, workflow processes, and the efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity of functional operations. Supports: FAA Contract
- Support the F&E subject matter expert (SME) for the decommissioning of LIS.
- Communicate to customers internal / external to the FAA
- Define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved.
- Collecting, recording, and analyzing data to establish facts.
- Research supply chain computer programs / databases.
- Take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
- Identify and resolve problems and provide information. Report negative trends to management.
- Applies experience and detailed knowledge applicable as a team member of a Logistic Operation Center.
- Conducts analysis to ensure proper program integration and conformance to FAA Logistic Center Policy, completeness, and adequacy of operations in meeting goals and/or objectives.
- Carry out these duties and responsibility on their own initiative.
- Planning, organizing and coordination with other personnel.
- Works with subject matter experts located throughout the FAA Logistic Center to resolve inquires and track from input through resolution.
- Refers difficult problems and work issues to a manager and/or team lead, program/project manager or more experienced technical specialist when guidelines are not available or applicable.
- Work is reviewed during assignment and at completion to ensure timeliness, policy compliance and alignment with the requirements of the project or other work activity.
- Work activities typically support the activities of the organizational unit and may affect project/program objectives for the major subdivision and the LOB/SO.
- Develop methods, databases, spreadsheets, or dash boards to provide alerts or notifications when critical processes fail.
- Periodically report supply chain vulnerabilities to leadership.
Specific tailoring for this position:
- Assists Program Manager and manages programs cradle to grave.
- Supports PM in the development and execution of any briefings or reports published or presented.
- Oversees/manages project cost, schedule, performance and risks.
- Communicates effectively with customer and meets all customer deliverable requirements.
- Develops required program documentation using standardized templates.
- Develops, modifies, and obtains approval of project SOW - Works with SME in developing SOW.
- Works with SMEs and other core program members to develop project estimates.
- Performs project cost control and project control measures.
- Effectively manages project scope, cost, schedule, performance, and risks.
- Develops and maintains program schedule.
- Organizes, schedules, and leads project meetings.
- Develops and oversees project work sequence.
- Manages program performance.
- Provides accurate and timely data.
- Elevates any issues that may arise.

Education |
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, or an Associate degree in Accounting or Business, is highly desired.

Experience |
- Minimum four (4) years' experience.
|
License, Cert or Registration |
- Current drivers' license
- Proof of U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S.
- The ability to obtain security clearance enabling access to various Government facilities.

- Must possess an excellent understanding of technical issues, ability to communicate verbally and in written form effectively, and the ability to work within U.S. Government contractual realm.
- This position requires the ability to communicate effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Excellent telephone skills and knowledge of troubleshooting using vendors.
- Success managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Adaptable to changing requirements and tasks.
- Successfully perform basic mathematical functions as required in a business and/or engineering setting.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft development suite, Microsoft Office suite of software and Web and Network architectures.
