Job Description
The Physician Assistant (PA) will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a collaborative physician(s). The PA will provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcare services, as delegated by the physician. Will work as a member of the healthcare team, taking and recording medical histories, examine and treat patients, order and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays, and make diagnoses. The PA may treat minor injuries, work as a first assistant in the OR with the Orthopaedic surgeons, instruct and counsel patients, order or carry out therapy, record progress notes, and may prescribe medications as per physician agreement and Missouri state regulations. The PA will provide appropriate documentation of all patient evaluations, care, and services rendered in the medical record. Minimum Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited physician assistant educational program with surgical first assistant training.
  • Certified as a Physician Assistant by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant.
  • Current licensure in the State of Missouri
  • Current BCLS
