About the role:
- Conduct laboratory experiments under the guidance of the Lab Team Lead, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Assist in designing experiments, developing standard operating procedures, and assembling experimental apparatus.
- Follow established protocols and methods to perform experiments and report findings.
- Collect, interpret, and document data in a structured, scientific manner.
- Record, tabulate, and organize laboratory data and measurements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide data and reports that support high-quality product approvals and informed design decisions.
- Train and assist other lab personnel as needed.
- Ensure all lab equipment is maintained and calibrated for optimal performance.
- Keep the lab environment safe and orderly, adhere to company safety policies.
- Assist with the overall management of the facilities.
- Ensure lab safety follows the company's policies.
- Assist in understanding and complying with regulatory requirements related to stormwater products.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field, or a combination of post-secondary education and laboratory experience.
- Minimum 2-5 years of laboratory experience preferred.
- Proven ability to review, analyze, and present data systematically.
- Demonstrated understanding of sample collection methods and handling techniques.
- Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to construct and develop laboratory apparatus from basic ideas.
- Good mechanical aptitude and ability to use analytical equipment.
- Technical skills in construction tools, plumbing/pumps, hydraulics, controls, water treatment, and sampling preferred.
- Experience or training in construction practices, electrical systems, and electronics preferred.
