Summary of Role:



  • Develops and executes the marketing strategy for a diagnostic product with a deep understanding of the brand strategy and tactical priorities, internal and external customer needs, and the competitive landscape.
  • Provides ongoing strategic leadership to the marketing multi-channel/digital best practices and approaches which integrate with brand goals and overall business objectives.
  • Identifies long-term process needs of the marketing team focused on executing a plan to address these.
  • Participates in the annual operating planning process to shape the tactical plan and budget required to achieve the brand's stated objectives.
  • Drives innovation culture and defines marketing KPIs and performance metrics to ensure continuous learning and performance.
  • Identifies and manages agencies and external partners, holding them accountable to policies, standards, timelines, and budgets. Develop, communicate, and execute against commercial goals and strategies.
  • Navigates campaigns through medical, legal, regulatory reviews; continuously monitors campaigns performance within relevant channels, evaluates, tests and optimizes channel-based performance. Reports on performance and status.
  • Attracts, develops, and retains team members; Inspires and elevates capabilities of others.


Essential Capabilities/Competencies:



  • Experience in supporting value proposition development, hospital/B2B marketing
  • Provides prompt and objective feedback, coaching, and counseling to enhance or improve performance by setting expectations and holding individuals accountable for performance and behavior, both internally and externally
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights to enhance and innovate the customer experience.
  • Strong collaboration skills: facilitates the sharing of best practices across functional areas and business units
  • Demonstrates the ability to make decisions and remain persistently focused on priorities.


Minimum Skills, Experience and Education:

Required:



  • Minimum 8+ years of experience with increasing scope and responsibility within regulated life sciences organization(s) in healthcare (Biotech, Pharmaceutical, or Diagnostic preferred), that included management of a healthcare marketing team
  • Experience developing and executing marketing initiatives that drive corporate/business objectives
  • In-depth knowledge of paid advertising, social media platforms, digital best practices, and website analytics
  • Previous management of third-party agencies preferred
  • Demonstrated strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to distill large amounts of data and to use data and metrics to develop business cases and inform decision-making
  • Strong working knowledge of current and emerging digital and social channels, platforms, and tools to enable effective content and channel management. The work must balance general market trends with healthcare market realities, and the candidate is expected to actively draw insights from the market.
  • Bachelors' Degree required, preferably in health care, life sciences or communications
  • Ability to quickly learn products and brand strategies and tie to patient journey
  • Experience managing expenses and ROI with agencies, vendors, and across initiatives


Preferred:



  • Experience marketing of hospital-based products
  • MBA or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Salesforce/Marketing Cloud
  • Experience with diagnostic or therapeutic area as needed
  • Clinical and/or technical discipline knowledge (e.g. an in-depth understanding of medical imaging modalities, cardiology, related disease states, treatment paradigms, and future trends)
  • Product knowledge (e.g., experience with contrast agents, injectables, microbubbles, suspensions)


Other Requirements:



  • Routine overnight travel based on business need.
  • Valid driver's license
