Position Summary:
The Radiology Manager is responsible for the management of the department of radiology including, but not limited to planning, quality assurance, personnel management, physician practice management and coordinating all Carle radiology services.
Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- College degree in related field or
- Certificate in related field or
- Experience in Lieu of Education
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
- IEMA Radiography License upon hire or
- IEMA Nuclear Medicine License upon hire and
- Radiography (R)(ARRT) or
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (AB), (BR), (FE), (NE), (OB/GYN), or (RVT) or
- Nuclear Medicine Tech Certification (NMTC)
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Five (5) years Management
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Aptitude for development of operational and cost management reports.
- Ability to conceive and write equipment, project or program proposals.
- Ability to analyze written, spoken and other sensory data used in decision making.
- Must demonstrate excellent oral and written abilities as well as exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Ability to function as a team player with other Carle departments.
Essential Functions:
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate radiology operations and performance.
- Assures that radiology meets its mission
- Provide high quality radiologic studies and reporting results in a time frame which adheres to national benchmarks.
- Maintains appropriate inter-organizational relationships; acts as liaison for radiology and other departments.
- Hire, train, coach, and evaluate all Radiology personnel.
- Plans, manages and monitors the annual radiology operating, statistical and capital budgets.
- Reads, interprets and implements all regulations and laws that apply to providing radiology services.
- Reviews and monitors Quality Control and Quality Assurance functions.
- Competency with all Microsoft Office software, Radiology Information Systems, PACS and Teleradiology systems.
- Understanding of financial and operational systems of radiology.
- Must be able to be decisive, make prudent financial decisions and manage a multi-million dollar budget.
