We Require
Two years of experience performing office, administrative, and clerical duties High school diploma or GED A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
We Also Value
Experience and/or education in bio-psychosocial, psycho-educational, emotional, and physical trauma Associate's degree or higher in Social Sciences Three or more years of advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc.) Indigent criminal defense experience Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills
Job Contributions
Collect historical client information and documentation by utilizing a variety of electronic systems Compile, organize, and maintain files that include evidence and other documentation relating to the client's life history and background, including family background, prior personal relationships, and educational, medical, employment, and criminal history Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies, medical professionals, governmental agencies, social service agencies, and educational institutions to collect information Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook to input case information and collaborate with the capital defense team Organize client information andmake copies Assist capital defense teams in case preparation
Working Conditions
Most work is done in an office setting. It may require some fieldwork. It may also include work outside normal hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday Must be able to manage frequent exposure to traumatic subject matter, handle interruptions, time pressures, changing tasks, high volume of work, unscheduled tasks, work in a team environment, have public contact, and/or close physical proximity with others Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds floor to shoulder and shoulder to waist.Must carry a minimum of 5 pounds for a distance of 50 feet. You may be required to push and/or pull a minimum of 30 pounds for a distance of one-half mile
