The College of Health Sciences at the University of Missouri (MU) invites applications for the position of Chair of the Department of Clinical and Diagnostic Sciences. The position is a full-time, 12-month, Assistant/Associate/Full Clinical/Teaching Professor position with an administrative appointment as Department Chair. About the Department The Department of Clinical and Diagnostic Sciences (CDS) advances clinical, diagnostic, and therapeutic practices in health care through excellence in teaching developed within a culture of interprofessional collaboration. The department offers accredited undergraduate entry-to-practice programs in Clinical Laboratory Science, Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Radiography, and Respiratory Therapy, and the Master of Health Science in Clinical and Diagnostic Science for credentialed professionals who aspire to excel in clinical leadership. Total student enrollment in the department has increased by 40% since 2016. Last year, over 96% of CDS undergraduates experienced successful career outcomes within 6 months of graduation, including employment and continuing education. The Chair leads a team of CDS program directors and clinical coordinators. The department is comprised of 213 matriculating students, 13 NTT faculty members, one staff member and a robust number of part-time faculty with advanced credentials and specialized content expertise. Their effort is augmented by centralized College of Health Sciences support in Advancement, Business Office, Student Access and Scholars Initiatives, Human Resources, Research, Strategic Communication and Marketing, and Student Services. Position Overview The Department Chair of CDS is an essential member of the College of Health Sciences' (CHS) leadership teams. The Chair provides guidance, vision, and stewardship of the Department's activities and, in doing so, helps shape the direction of CHS and contributes to its successes. Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the applicant. The anticipated salary range for this position is $125,000 - $150,000, dependent upon the rank of the position offered. Application Materials
