Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Engineering Document Control Specialist with exceptional technical writing skills to join our team. As an Engineering Document Control Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the integrity and consistency of our system by ensuring that all changes are reviewed, approved, and thoroughly documented through the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process. Your primary focus will be on tracking compliance to both internal policies and customer policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:



  • Oversee the entire configuration management process, ensuring that changes to the system are properly reviewed, approved, and documented through the EO process.
  • Maintain and update the configuration management database (CMDB) to accurately reflect the current state of the system.
  • Develop and implement configuration management plans, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with internal and customer requirements.
  • Track and report on compliance to configuration management policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with the quality and engineering teams to address and resolve any compliance issues that arise.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on configuration management best practices and provide guidance and support to other teams as needed.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the configuration management documentation.
  • Participate in change control meetings to review proposed changes and provide input on potential impacts to the system.
  • $80000 - $100000 / year


Requirements:



  • Associate degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • U.S Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Proven experience in configuration management, change management, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of configuration management principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of engineering operations processes and procedures.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools and software.
  • Exceptional technical writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
